LOST THE PAUS£ BUTTON

So recently read that after you cancel your sky subscription and are left without the pause and record function on your sky hd remote control, one way round the offer of £10.00 a month from Sky to keep this function, it was suggested by the blogger that instaead he would be investing in a new sattleite box, well I have done just that and the pause button still does not work. Don't know if the guy who wrote the article is mistaken but  if he is not then the reason it did not work for me is because I relied on a communal dish so you see a new box will not make a difference then because the source is the same, can anyone comment on this please?

Maybe the blogger invested in a new Freesat box (not freesat from Sky) that would have allowed playback/pause as they are not manufactured by Sky so the software is not locked 🙂

Please Note: Sky+ is now a legacy/obsolete service that Sky are replacing with their newer services: Sky Q, Sky Glass and Sky Stream

@TheRambler

And note that 'recordable' Freesat boxes (with hard drives) are considerably more expensive than Freesat receivers.
