Most likely an HDMI handshake issue, between your tv and Sky box. Check that your tv has up to date firmware. Switching your tv off at the plug before turning on your Sky box may also prevent it happening.

I have done this 400 times over the last month. Does not work.
A friend in the next village has the same sky message. I have a lg tv and she has a Samsung.
So why does this happen. Ready to dish sky.... called sky and they stated they do not know of such problems

I have an original box and upgrade to sky q on the 18th when new box arrives

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreMight be either a box or tv fault. Bear in mind you're using an end of life Sky platform. You can probably negotiate a good deal .to upgrade to Sky Q. Or to cancel, 31 days notice is required.

Just talked to customer service compliant with log on information could not provide password after 20 years could not remember. Had account number. Address after on hold for 10 minutes.
So mad ready to cancel account. Can anyone suggest a better alternative to SKY
