Inoperative Sky+ HD box

My sky box isn't working, the red light keeps flashing on & off.

I've tried a reset on the box by in plugging and pressing the back up button to no avail

If that's the power light, it sounds as though the box has died I'm afraid. 

Your options are either to upgrade to Sky Q, or buy a used Sky+ box (either a DRX890 or DRX895 model) from the likes of ebay. Don't pay more than around £30.
