How do I upgrade my sky box it is 8 years old. I also want to upgrade my package. Is there a number I can call to get to talk to a human?

You can upgrade to Sky Q or Sky Glass.

If you have a Sky Mobile or Sky Talk landline phone then you can call Sky for free via the 150 number. Or under "Need more help ?" at the bottom this page is the number to call, it might take a few seconds to appear, if you are in Ireland make sure the flag in the bottom right is changed to the ROI so you see an 0818 number:

Just ignore the messages at the start of the call and remain on the line for as long as you can and don't hang up when asked to do so.

@Maura22 if you want to stick with Sky+, there's no shortage of used boxes available on ebay. Bear in mind that the most recent Sky+ boxes were made in 2015/2016, so they're all at least 6 years old now.

For something more recent, Sky Q is an option. Sky Q boxes are loaned to you and have to be returned when you end your subscription.

As @Mark39 indicates, that's not particularly old for a Sky+ HD box, and may well be as up-to-date as they get.
