Please Note: Sky+ is now a legacy/obsolete service that Sky are replacing with their newer services: Sky Q (all issues will be fixed during a Sky Q install), Sky Glass and Sky Stream

Your card will be locked to the box it was pair to at the end of October 2024, the card cannot be paired to another box

I'm afraid it is no longer possible to pair a viewing card to a replacement Sky+ box.

@HarrisE66 as others have noted, that's no longer possible, I'm afraid. If your old box is no longer working, you would need to upgrade to Sky Q received via your satellite dish or Sky Stream via your broadband connection.

New box required 19-12-2024 installed but getting messages need to pair from exsisting card can you please explain in layman's term what this means ?

@rose1 it means linking your Viewing Card to the box. It's the Viewing Card that holds details of your Sky viewing entitlement. Unless it's paired with your box, you'll only be able to watch the free channels.

The very bad news, I'm afraid, is that you can now longer pair your Card with a replacement box. Your Card is permanently linked to your old box.

From where did you buy the replacement box ... did they warn you Sky+ HD boxes can no longer be paired?
