All TVs on RF out giving an HDCP error after a SKYHD+ box update.
Lounge TV on an HDMI cable is fine and when on all other tvs work (do not show the error)
Immediatley on standby of the lounge TVs all TVS then show the error
Have tried settings including the installer set up - to no effect.
Was not like this until I changed the main TV.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreThere hasn't been any Sky+HD box update for years, so that's not remotely the cause. Which settings have you tried changing?

Interesting thanks
I had this once before - but it seemed to "resolve itself"
The skyHD box started to misbehave - so did the "backup button" power up - which seems to have restarted the issue
Tried the HD resolution
HDMI Controls
RF Picture Format
Went into the Installers 0,0,1 menu
Couldn't find anything else relevant
Clutching at straws
Ironially unplugging the main TV from the mains - got it working - but stopped again as soon as I plugged it back in
I have previously tried swapping HDMI cables & sockets
Advice really gratefully received

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreLooks like your main TV is not doing HDMI handshaking whilst in standby 😞

I believe that you are correct
I've tried swapping cable & ports etc... no effect
Powering off the TV works
Its a Samsung QLED NEO 4k QE55QN90BATXXU - cannot find any settings to adjust any "eco" or standby settings

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreDoes this HDCP error happen over RF on all channels or just the HD ones?
Looks like you may need to start turning the main TV off when not in use rather than stahbdby 😞

All channels - cannot even get the main sky menu or anything in fact just the HDCP error banner
I have come to a similar conclusion but unsure of the "impact" of powering off the TV rather than standby
Trying to contact Samsung next - it worked fine for a long time (I have had the TV since Feb 2023)
It went through a few days of this maybe a year ago - and has now restarted coincidently with the "backup button" reboot of the sky hd box last night

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreHave you check when the last firware update was pushed to the TV?
It seems rather odd that all of a sudden it started happening again 😞 Could be a hardware fault but unlikely
Maybe time to move to Sky Q, Glass or Stream, Sky will be itching to get you off of Sky+

Thank you for responding so quickly - all support is so welcome and appreciated from experts
TV Firmware is up to date - cannot find any other settings
Think I will try swaping HDMI sockets again - clutching at straws
The problem with sky Q is no RF out - I have 4 rooms with TV - albeit only 1 set is usually on

Thanks - on Chat with Samsung they recommend a full reset of the TV
The pain of basically reinstalling and then finding passwords for other services😠
Even that I suspect is a try it and see response
They did however say powering off is not detrimental - so will do that until I summon up the willpower & data to perfom a reset
Thanks again for your prompt help

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@DS34 personally I'd stick with powering off at the plug, rather than the hassle of reactivating apps etc. Both my TVs are switched off at the plug when they're not going to be used for a few minutes. Smart plugs make it painless.

Thanks - done exactly that on a smart plug
The lounge TV is not often in use - so it will be off most of the time
If & when I summon the willpower I will reset - but frankly not convinced it will work anyway
Its the usual "reset it" and see advice - not helpful.
