+ HD box. Swapping. Can I swap between two boxes without loosing recorded programme's

I'm worried about losing recorded programmes if I swap between two box's, or will i have to copy them first before swap. Thanks

If you're replacing the box, then yes, you'll lose your recordings as they're on the box's hard disk.

If you're acquiring a second box and both are serviceable,  you could, in theory swap between the boxes but it would be a faff. The boxes will only work if they're connected to your satellite dish, and you would need to unpair, pair and re-pair your Viewing Card each time you want to switch between boxes. How many times you can do that, I don't know.

Thanks for such a quick reply mark39, it helped me a lot, if i do as you suggest i probebly won't loose recordings, is that the case? No guarantees, i know, so do I just do normal pairing each time?

Yes, you should be ok doing that. Do bear in mind that all hard disks fail, sometimes without warning. Unless replaced, the hard disk in any Sky+HD box will be at least 6 years old as they haven't been manufactured since 2015/2016.
