Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more

Unplug your TV/Display and Sky box from the mains, wait a couple of minutes

Turn on  the sky box and wait five miutes

Turn on the TV/Display and take your sky box out of standby

This should reset the HDCP handshaking between your TV/display and sky box that has got confused

Thank you so much for the clear and accurate instructions! I have been trying to fix this issue with my new Sony XR55A80 TV and new SkyQ box for a couple of days. Today I did what you suggested and it worked brilliantly!!
