Channel 4HD

Hi

I sem to have a problem getting channel 4HD, it keeps saying not receiving a signal, all other HD channels are working fine , anyone have a idea has what the problem could be .

@Spike1947 difficult to say, but bear in mind they'll be keen on you switching (actually they'll want you to switch to Sky Stream more). If it were me, I wouldn't mention the dish issue unless they asked, of course, as it may weaken your hand! You may already have received a letter advising you that there won't be any further software updates for Sky+ equipment, so that might be the premise to start with.

 

There used to be a 'free' upgrade path which included a whole home subscription and a Mini box which you may or may not want. I don't know if it's still being offered.

 

Best to give them a call.

It's most likely a problem with your dish setup - either a slight misalignment, or possibly a failing LNB (on the arm of the dish) if it's more than 5 years old or so.

 

Unfortunately, Sky no longer provide engineer support for Sky+ equipment, so you would need to engage a local satellite engineer to take a look. Or now might be a good time to consider upgrading to Sky Q. Any dish faults will be corrected as part of the Sky Q installation, at no additional cost to you.
