When having Sky Q fitted I asked the engineer if he could fit a Hybrid LNB when he was upgrading my dish as I also was using freesat in my bedroom and kitchen. He did this for me , but I then noticed at a later date (when I came to use it) that I could no longer pause, rewind or record programmes on my old Sky+HD box, or watch the huge list of films I have on the harddrive that used to work fine. I haven't had a look at the LNB to check that the two cables for my old Sky+HD box have been connected into the Hybrid LNB, the two for my Sky Q in the lounge definitely are , as it works perfectly. (I basically also run an old Sky+HD box minus active view card in my attic , through an sLx booster , with a magic eye on bedroom and kitchen tv's) , also had a subscription Sky+Hd box in the lounge, which we've upgraded to Sky Q. All worked fine until after the upgrade. So why can't I view the recordings on the hard drive anymore, as the list still comes up of recordings. I just get a message saying unable to view (or something like)
Any help much appreciated.

hi @Tez39
In addition to what the others have said, SKY Q has it's own multiroom subscription with SKY Q mini boxes used to provide TV & access to the recordings (which are only stored on ethe main box)
As the others have said access to existing recordings on old SKY HD boxes ceases when the account is changed over to SKY Q, unfortunately

@Tez39 when you upgraded to Q you automatically lose the ability to playback rewind etc on sky plus has your subscription to that box has been completely cancelled

Recording and playback services require a Sky+ subscription, which would have been cancelled when you upgraded to Sky Q.

@Tez39 Your Sky+HD Box is now just a basic functional Freesat box.

You don't need to look at the LNB ... if you look at the Sky+ HD box and can watch live TV the cables are connected😉
