Can a technician come to check my Sky+HD box or do I have to upgrade to Sky Q?

Can my Sky+HD box be fixed or do I have to upgrade to Sky Q?

I have had no success with the troubleshooting and have been told I have to upgrade.

Your box will not be fixed but either Sky can replace it for a refurbished box or you can obtain a secondhand box from the likes of eBay etc...

 

At this time there is no requirement to upgrade to Sky Q

You would phone them though a "No Satellite Signal" error is not usually due to a broken box and is more likely to be the cables/dish

 

Check your cables are screwed in properly (finger tight)

I agree with @Annie+UK : this is much more likely to be a problem with your dish setup (or communal setup if you're in a flat) than a problem with your Sky box.
