Can my Sky+HD box be fixed or do I have to upgrade to Sky Q?
I have had no success with the troubleshooting and have been told I have to upgrade.

At this time there is no requirement to upgrade to Sky Q

You would phone them though a "No Satellite Signal" error is not usually due to a broken box and is more likely to be the cables/dish
Check your cables are screwed in properly (finger tight)
