Can I use a Sky + box with a Sky Q box and multi room?

I currently have a Sky+ box and am looking to upgrade to Sky Q. However I want to keep the old box due to programs recorded on it. If I also upgrade the multi room, will I be able to use the Sky + box as the second unit?

You will lose axxess to ALL recordings on the Sky Plus box for a few reasons, one being the viewing card will be canceled

Sky Plus is now obsolete but you have never been able to retain recordings due to coptright

HI @Sun+Devil

You can't have SKY Q and SKY HD

You may, also, wish to read some notes I have made for people considering switching from SKY +/HD to SKY Q

SKY +/HD to SKY Q

Note SKY no longer provide the Hybrid LNBs mentioned in those notes

No, because playback from the local hard drive is a subscription feature, and once Sky Q is in place there's no longer a subscription for Sky+ at the address.
