CARD NOT AUTHORISED

After watching sky until one in the morning i wake up to find the message card not authorised... two hours on the phone couldn't resolve the problem... i believe this was deliberate in order to update to SkyQ... i have to go a month now with no sky over xmas... i don't believe for one second this is a technical issue that can't be resolved... Anyone else with this problem that solved it ?

No need to be without Sky subscription channels if you subscribe to NOWTV for a month on your Smart TV😉

This was before i've been forced into SkyQ... one month all over xmas without proper TV is a joke. Sky really sucks

unfortunately Now TV has a 6 month minimum contract ☹️

There would have been many more posts highlighting the same issue if this was a deliberate ploy on Sky's behalf. I agree, though, that it should have been possible to resolve it without you having to upgrade.

 

It should still be possible to use your Sky box to receive (but not record) the free to air channels, so you shouldn't be completely without TV over the holiday.

Are you sure OR is that a discount offer rather than 1 month activation🤔

they give the first month free in a six month minimum contract ☹️

There's no need to take the 6 month offer ... you can just subscribe for a month😉
