Box fault

Have two sky boxes on downstairs in living room one in bedroom,  one downstairs has a signal, one upstairs has no signal, i know sky like to blame the weather, but wouldn`t the weather disrupt both?

The weather could have damaged the cables to one box but not the other

Is the cabling connected firmly into your upstairs box ?

@stephen1963 You could try swapping the two boxes around to pinpoint whether it's the box or the cabling.

If the affected box isn't receiving a satellite signal on any channel, but the other one is ok, it's unlikely to be an alignment issue. It may or may not be weather related.

As previously posted, it could be a problem with the cabling to the affected box, or a faulty LNB, or the  box itself. Swapping the boxes is a good suggestion as it will narrow down the possibilities.

Each box has separate cables and separate sockets on the LNB there are several things that can affect a box connected to a dish without affecting all boxes
