BBC channels not working on Shy +HB box

BBC HD channels not working on SKY +HB box, been like it for 4 days now. I Know about BBC HD being the only BBC channels available, but surely this shouldn't affect SKY +HD boxes?

No. Sky+HD boxes can receive the BBC HD channels. In what way is it not working? Error message?

It says Your Sky +HD boc isnt getting a satellite Signal ,then your recording in the planner and the on demand services may still be available.  Press yellow to help fix this issue.

It's only BBC HD channels that are affected.

Are Sky pushing us to upgrade. We know BBC are only in HD, but we gave a Sky+HD box. So that can't be the problem?

Sky can't make your Sky+HD lose signal, if that's what you're suggesting 🙂

Either the box is faulty (quite unlikely) or there's a problem with your dish setup - most likely a slight misalignment, or a failing LNB (on the arm of the dish) especially if it's more than 5 years old. The best thing to do is book an engineer who will be able to pinpoint the problem and fix it.

Cheers for the response, no one else has a problem from the communal ariel? It isnt a dish. Hence the thought regards Sky messing with channels. 

We'll have to book an appointment for an engineer.

You'll need to contact the managers of the communal dish as Sky don't deal with communal setups
