Additional Sky box for different room

I have a Sky+ HD kit, and a Freesat set up. Am I able to buy an additional Sky box to use in a different room? If so, who do I contact?

You could see if you can get a deal for a Sky Q upgrade

@Mo  There's not a lot you can do other than to switch to sky Q if you want multiple rooms

@Mo  You would need the sky essentials package which is around the £15-25pm mark

Re: Additional Sky box for different room

I don't suppose there is a direct line to someone at Sky to speak about switching to Sky Q?

@Mo   You can call on 150 from a Sky Talk Line or Sky Mobile.

If you haven't got a current Sky Mobile or Sky Talk this link should help:
(UK) https://www.sky.com/help/home Scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ and it provides a 0333 number
(ROI) on the same link change the flag in the very bottom corner to the ROI flag to obtain an 0818 number.

Stay on the line and don’t hang up if prompted to. Apparently the quieter times to ring are just after 7am or about 9pm.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

@Mo Unless I'm misunderstanding, you currently have a Sky+HD box but only use it for Freesat (ie without a Sky subscription) and want the same in another room?

If that's correct, you could source a used Sky+HD box from eBay and pay a local satellite company to install it for you.

Re: Additional Sky box for different room

Thank you @oj01

Does that mean I also have to have a second satellite dish installed? I'd rather not.

No, but you'll need an additional cable installed from the dish to wherever you want to put the second Sky box.
