I have recently stopped my sky subscription as unable to afford the minimum package but I would still like to use and record on my Sky+ box that I need apparently a activation code is this correct? And how do I go about getting this

I don't know of any such activation code
Please Note: Sky+ is now a legacy/obsolete service that Sky are replacing with their newer services: Sky Glass, and/or Sky Stream.
Satellite TV is on its last legs and is being replaced due to the lack of any new satellites being launched to replace the existing ones that are at the end of their service

@Mark6066 There used to be a sky + subscription for recording playback functionality but sky no longer sells this or any other subscription services for sky plus hardware to new customers or customers who have recently cancelled all subscriptions

@Mark6066 Your box will still work for watching live channels that are free to air but you won't be able to record them.
