What will Sky Glass and Stream without an Sky Ultimate TV subscription look like?

Sky Glass without a Sky Ultimate TV subscription will work like a normal TV.

Once it's activated, you’ll be able to:

  • Watch live and on demand TV through TV apps, like BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, Netflix and more.

  • Connect other devices like your games console or DVD player through a HDMI port.

If you don’t activate your Sky Glass TV, you’ll only be able to connect your other devices. Access to TV apps like Netflix won't be available.

What if I already have a Netflix subscription?

If you have an existing Netflix account, you can link it to your Ultimate TV Add On subscription This will tell Netflix to stop billing you for that account while it’s linked to Ultimate TV Add On.

If you're a Sky Glass or Sky Stream customer, Netflix is included with your Sky Ultimate TV subscription so will be part of your Sky bill.

If you have an existing Netflix account you pay Netflix direct for:

  • Sky Glass customers only: When you log into Netflix on Sky Glass for the first time, make sure it's on your Sky Glass TV (not a Sky Stream puck)

  • Make sure the details you enter and/or confirm when logging into Netflix on Sky Glass or Sky Stream for the first time match your existing Netflix account details. This will alert Netflix to stop billing you separately and link your existing account to your Streaming TV bill.

If you have an existing Netflix account on Sky Q you pay Sky direct for:

  • Sky Glass customers only: When you log into Netflix on Sky Glass for the first time, make sure it's on your Sky Glass TV (not a Sky Stream puck)

  • Enter and/or confirm the Netflix account details associated with your Netflix account.

Please note: If you've linked the wrong Netflix account to your Sky account, you'll need to contact Netflix directly to update it.

When I sign up for Sky Ultimate TV, do I need to activate my Netflix account?

Yes, and here's how:

  1. Press Home on your Sky Q remote then scroll to On Demand

  2. Scroll to Netflix and select any Netflix show

  3. Follow the on-screen instructions

If you have Sky Stream pucks these will count towards your device limits if you log into the Netflix app. For example, Sky Glass and a Sky Stream puck will count as 2 devices.

  • Select any Netflix show or go the Apps menu and select Netflix.

  • Follow the on-screen instructions.

When you have Sky Q Ultimate TV, do you have to use it via the app on the Sky Q box or are you allowed to log on via your in built-in TV Netflix app or a fire stick/Roku device etc?

You are free to use any device you choose including the TV apps.
