Prime Video's new accessibility feature is called Dialogue Boost. This feature allows you to boost the volume of dialogue in comparison to background music and sound effects. For viewers that are hard of hearing, this unique feature makes your viewing experience more comfortable, and accessible.
Although Dialogue Boost was built for the d/Deaf or hard of hearing community, anyone can enjoy it! Ttiles where Dialogue Boost are included are: "Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan," "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel," and Harlem, as well as movies including The Big Sick, Beautiful Boy, and Being the Ricardos.
Note: The feature will become available on additional titles this year. Dialogue Boost is available across all devices that support the Prime Video experience.
You can find which level of Dialogue Boost suits you by accessing the Audio and Subtitles dropdown menu, which you can find on the title's Overview screen, by pressing up then right.
The Dialogue Boost levels are labelled: “English Dialogue Boost: Medium” and “English Dialogue Boost: High.” The detail page for a title will indicate whether Dialogue Boost is available.
