problem with pin
streaming puck froze so we had to unplug it. when it came back on and got to the pin it stated that the pin was wrong, so i put forgot pin, i put in new pin but cannot get any further

Try this. When the PIN screen is showing unplug the puck, then plug it back in. Hopefully as it boots up it'll bypass the PIN screen. Not sure if it'll work on the puck though, it does on the Glass TV. But worth a try.

I tried that but it still did the same. I did forgot pin, added the new pin, pressed ok but still couldn't get any further so I left on that part for about 10 mins or so, then it came up about going into standby mode so I pressed ok and the pin seemed to enter at the same time. Very strange but at least it's working now.
