i have discovery plus on the app but when i try to watch anything it keeps saying i need to upgrade

Are you sure you successfully completed the Discovery+ registration procedure on the Puck?

Yes. Both logged in using same account. My sky says i am conected but when i clickbon something to watch ut asks for me to upgrade

Go to the bottom of the home page and select the following in this order: MySky / your products / (enter your PIN) / App Subscriptions
Select App subscriptions / Current / and then Discovery + Monthly. Hopefully it will say £0 per month whilst you have a Sky TV Subscription. If so select Activate subscription.
