Re: change fro sky q to sky streaming
@SLIMAL You need to call Sky, you can't request accoutn changes via a public community.
You can call on 150 from a Sky Talk Line or Sky Mobile.
If you haven't got a current Sky Mobile or Sky Talk this link should help:
(UK) https://www.sky.com/help/home Scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ and it provides a 0333 number
(ROI) on the same link change the flag in the very bottom corner to the ROI flag to obtain an 0818 number.
Stay on the line and don’t hang up if prompted to. Apparently the quieter times to ring are just after 7am or about 9pm.

Please note I only provide help on the main forums and not via PM, PM's are switched off.

Re: change fro sky q to sky streaming
Hi @SLIMAL
You'll have to contact Sky directly to move to Sky Stream, this is a customer-to-customer forum.
You should be aware that Sky Stream isn't a direct replacement for Sky Q and has very different approaches to things.
- Streaming, not satellite
Everything is streamed via the internet. So you need a good Internet connection and a good home WiFi or ethernet setup. Any degradation here will result in a poor experience. - Playlisting, not recording
You can't record onto your Sky Stream boxes. You add programmes and movies to a playlist. That can be from the TV guide, Netflix, iPlayer, etc. The idea is it finds it wherever it lives, and puts it in one place. Once you adjust to that, that's very handy. It also means you can retroactively add something to your playlist after it airs. Some programming that's not available on streaming services is set to cloud record which is where Sky record it on their hard drives on their servers. For example, the on-demand F1 races might take hours after the event to go live, but if you add it to the playlist from the TV Guide, it will cloud record it and make it available far faster. The two downsides here is that the source it finds might be a subscription you don't own and it's at the whim of the provider how long it's available for. - HD is default
You don't need to pay extra for HD. You do need to pay extra for UHD. - Ad Skipping is not free
On Sky+ and Sky Q you could freely fast forward through adverts. This is a paid-addon (effectively replacing the HD addon from +/Q). The benefit of it is that it also unlocks the ability to fast-forward on apps like ITVX, Channel 4, etc. - check the Sky site for a list of the apps it supports. - The user experience is different
The menu system is entirely different (better once adopted, imo). It's far less focused on Live TV and more around everything you can watch anywhere. Check out the video guides to get a feel for it. - It's not perfect
Entertainment OS is a completely new platform, and there's been teething problems with it. These do tend to be related to internet quality, though. However you might come across quirks that feel a bit rough round the edges at times. I'm seeing less and less of these, and it's feeling like a relatively mature platform now - but you should go into it knowing that it's much newer than Q and still has some teething problems (check these forums for a glimpse at some).
I hope that helps.

Actually now in its fourth year: release was October 2021 with the launch of Glass televisions and Stream pucks.
Comcast was presumably working on it well before then.

Re: change fro sky q to sky streaming
Yes true, I meant in the sense that it's not a continuation of the Q platform.
