I have had sky for around two months now and the quality is pretty rubbish compared to virgin.
I am ok with the broadband and the landline is ok but we never use it as we have mobiles but have it because it came with the packaged.
The first thing that happened was not being able to get a channel for a couple of days which was the same as a lot of people who came on here. Also, a couple of weeks back the puck was on the blink and we could not get a channel again. Now as we are watching tv on each channel we watch the synching between voices and the streen is out of step and is annoying.
I would have thought with a company that has so much cash and experience of media that they would have things running smoothly by now.

I have sky stream and virgin stream and would agree that virgin stream is far more stable, Forward and Rewinding is easy, plus you can go back on the EPG. However sky stream is easier on the eye and has better content and more plus better app integration.
It's a shame that sky didn't build the stream box themselves, it would have been better I am sure.

Hi,
Thanks for thre reply, I just wanted to get the annoyance out there. To be fair, I took Sky because Virgin was trying to charge me almost £100 for the same service we paid around £60 last year and I am getting the Sky package for just under this so there is that and I get netflix as a free add-on so I am willing to wait and hope things improve.

You are actually with a much better service provider in sky than VM in my opinion. Stick with it would be my advice. VM customer services is non existent as you are probably aware !

Virgin has effective end-to-end control of their private network distribution: Sky doesn't, even when it is the ISP.

Have you changed your audio setting to PCM or passthrough?
