Why does Stream still fail at a basic level?
I've had Stream since launch in 2022, and have generally been happy with the ability to get Sky in my flat where I can't have a dish. Picture quality is excellent, but basic functionality STILL fails.
For example, the other day I put on Sky Cricket and pressed 'watch from start', but instead of going to the start of that broadcast, it started playing the match from when it was on Main Event. And about 90 minutes in to the match, main event changed to football, so the 'recording' ended.
There was simply no way to watch the cricket between that time and the live broadcast.
How hard can it be to make this work properly?!

Hi @Ed.B.
The best course of action is to report issues like this to Skys customer relations team: viewerR@sky.uk is their email address.
The more people who flag it the more they will likely resolve. As we are fellow customers here on the community very little will happen off the back of your post.
But you are right issues like this should well and truly be ironed out by now.

I've sent them many things over the years and never had so much as an acknowledgement.

Hi @Ed.B.
That's surprising. I've emailed them twice and had a response with in 2 or 3 days.
The only other option is to make a complaint: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/how-to-make-a-complaint

Re: Why does Stream still fail at a basic level?
I've done that too. I've had sky in various forms for nearly 30 years. I've offered to be a tester but they just don't seem to care.
I can't understand how stuff like this even gets to customers. It's basic UAT.
