Why does sky stream require me to enter my PIN number every 30 minutes. I have set my sky stream to require Pinnonly when necessary, as the option screen said that some channels always require a pin. My Pin options are at to moderate, so why do I have to enter a Pin every 30 minutes now?

'every 30 minutes' seems excessive, but if a one-hour programme on a channel carrying post watershed content before 21:00 is followed by another one, each will require a Mandatory Daytime Protection challenge.
The most likely channel for this is Sky Atlantic.

@Kirat90 Which channel is showing back to back age restricted 30 min programmes?

So far, sky comedy

It wasn't age restricted viewing, and it started to happen early afternoon on a Saturday

It wasn't really watershed programing.
when I started having to re-enter my sky pin every half hour, I thought it was surely some kind of fault within my account

What show was it?
Plenty of the Sky Atlantic and Sky Comedy daytime schedules are full of post-watershed based shows.

The schedule says that would have been either 'Entourage' or 'Veep', both of which I believe are rated as at least 12+ (mostly for language) and so would trigger Mandatory Daytime Protection when shown in the 'early afternoon'.
It's the MDP challenge which permits such content to be carried on Sky Comedy during the day: if a terrestrial channel couldn't show something at that time then it has to be behind a PIN on Sky.

@Kirat90 Watershed restriction is triggered by age restriction😉
