Watching football on red button sky stream

Keeps slowing down and then going fast to catch up.  First time watching football on sky stream.  Is this normal?

Sky take the EFL direct stream for the red button games, hence they can be hot and miss and poor quality

This has happened to me twice. Once on my Sky Puck a few weeks ago and then again, last night on my Sky Glass. Very irritating!!! It needs addressing.
