We have just received our sky stream.
when setting up it asked if we would like to use the remote to control the tv volume and on and off settings. We choice yes. At first it worked but after about 3 minutes it has stopped working and will not connect again.
we have tried everything, tried to reset the remote holding 7 & 9 then 1 & 3. Tried unplugging the puck for 2 minutes then trying again and still nothing.
Any ideas. It's becoming really frustrating 😂😩
many thanks 🙏🏻

To pair your Sky remote to your TV:
Try these steps:

Its the TV volume we wanted to control with the sky remote, as mentioned in original post. I understand there is not a volume control for the stream itself.
We have tried the solutions you provided and as said this in the originally its still not working unfourtunatly. Do you know any other way we could resolve this at all??
many thanks

If your LG is compatible with the Stream remote you should be able to set it up from here.

Any luck with this? Same issue, LG TV, volume control worked during setup but never again since. Very bizarre.

We've had Sky Stream since January and the stream remote has controlled the tv and volume fine... until today.
Have restarted, un-paired, re-paired.. and it won't connect to the TV now after 6 months with no problem.
Any other ideas as to how to resolve this?

You could also try holding the remote at both ends and giving it a gentle twist as though you were wringing out a cloth. Even though it sounds an unlikely solution it has got many faulty remotes working again (including my own).
If it is still not working I would request a replacement at the following link: Streaming TV replacement remote
If you are lucky enough to have one available you can use a Sky Q remote while you wait for a replacement to arrive.

I reset the box and it did a software update. Repaired remote and now all fine!
