Re: Is it time for Sky puck V2

@Dazzasky I read on Reddit that it's ever so slightly faster through the menus and that's all... I think it's just a freshen up of the chipset which naturally will be a bit quicker. Actual viewing hadn't changed.

Re: V2 Stream Puck

Does anyone know if there's a way to get just the slim power adapter? I'd be willing to pay for it if it means I can plug the adapter in behind my tv as the current one is too tall!

You can't get the power adapter as a seperate item

Re: V2 Stream Puck

I've just received a IP061B as a replacement and there's definitely a noticeable difference in performance compared to the 3 existing IP061 puks I have.

The PSU is a far better design.

Sky will continue to deny it performs better or they would be inundated with people after an upgrade!

Re: V2 Stream Puck

I did't expect it or know about it. I Just set it up thought this seems different, checked the build number and noticed the hardware model is SKYXI11BED I looked underneath and noticed  SKY IE & SKY Italia with B reference on the information plate, coupled with a different PSU.

Just glad they have sent a replacement that doesn't look like it's been roughed up with sandpaper or a knife like they have done previously.

Re: V2 Stream Puck

Yes, any 5v plug with correct amp outage will work and a usb lead with correct pin on end. I've just come across this issue. Have room behind tv to squeeze puck in but the stupid power supply stands out a mile. I'm just using an old iPhone charger plug with usb to pin lead.

Its worth pointing out that using anything other than the approved and supplied power supply isn't advisable, particularly as the puck is loaned equipment and using any other equipment would almost certainly invalidate the lifetime warranty you get on the puck.
