Using my sky through virgin internet

I've never used this before but I'll try. So, I've just joined sky. Sky tv and broadband, the broadband gets fitted on 25th April but my sky box has just arrived, because I've still got virgin media could i unplug the box from virgin, plug in the sky+ box and start using it through virgin's internet. No problem if not I'll just wait but I'm thinking you'll only need a internet connection. Thanks everyone....

@Jaynbeck  You've posted in the Sky+ forum, however if you're a new customer you won't have Sky +, what TV service did you sign up for?

I'm thinking you have Sky Stream. You won't have Sky+, as it's a legacy product, no longer sold by Sky.

Assuming that's the case, you can certainly use your Virgin broadband service while waiting for your Sky broadband service to be activated.
