@Wendymac One thing you could try is go to the Settings in Sky Stream and go to System management and you will see a Refresh apps tab, press that and wait for it to finish. You will know when it's finished as it will automatically return you to the Home page. The same part of Settings there is also a Restart button, it is similar to a hard reset but a bit gentler, try that as well after you have done the app refresh.

@Stephen+Mourton Thanks for your help, I have tried both steps you have mentioned which haven't worked I'm afraid.
I'm assuming it's going to be a phone call to Sky in the morning.

Go to settings on the puck go to my sky open it go to your products open and activate it in there

The Discovery+ app has an annoying tendency to log you out if you haven't used it for a while, (happens on all platforms). So first thing is check if you're still logged in. If you're on the main app, blue "create account", "activate", "log in" page, then select log in and follow the on screen prompts.

I had the same problem when I cancelled t n t sports and my discovery plus would not let me watch from my discovery plus play list until i activated it again in the my products settings in the settings on my sky glass, being logged out is nothing to do with the activation of the app
