Hi All,
Looking for advice regarding not recieiving UHD output on Netflix when viewing through the sky stream puck. I have the Premium pack which is confirmed on both Netflix account and Sky subscription. I know the TV and wires are all compatable as I get UHD Sky Sports channel and the Netflix through the TV app is 4k and dolby vision. Its just the netflix app on sky stream puk that only shows HD and HDR. Very frustrating.
I have tried everything I can think of, including new cabels, hard resets, been through all the relevent setting on both Puk and TV.....anyone else had a simular problem?

Is the puck connected directly to the TV and not through a soundbar or AVR?
What is the make/model of your TV? Does it need Dolby Vision to be activated on the relevant HDMI port you have the puck connected to?

The set up is a Hisense 65A6KTUK smart 4k Ultra HD HDR tv going through a Yamaha AV reciever as part of a 5.1 speaker set up. Both the HDMI ports on the TV and Amp support 4k and the HDMI cable from TV to amp and amp to Sky stream PUK are new and high speed.
The same set up delivers UHD content with Sky Sports channels, BBC Iplayer etc just not Netflicx. However if I siwtch from the SKY puck to the smart TV Netflicx app this shows UHD content.

It's most likely that the Yamaha can't pass Dolby Vision. Just because an AVR says it can pass 4K doesn't mean it can pass Dolby Vision.
All Sky channel HDR content is in the HLG HDR format which most amps will passthrough. Dolby Vision is different and requires a higher bandwidth which not all amps support.

Have you tested connecting the Puck direct to the TV?
For Dolby Vision/Atmos it is better to connect the Puck and TV using a certified 2.1 HDMI cable?

ah thanks, but if this was the case wouldn't netflicx show 4K in HDR just and not 4k dolby vision? Also I have tried the TV directly to the sky puck and the same issue occurs.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Nagra81 not necessarrily as the file the app tries to show depends on the data pased during the HDMI handshake if your TV supports Dolby Vision the app may choose that version to stream and not fall back to the HDR10 version.

It's a shame you didn't get 2.1 certified HDMI cables good ones cost little more than slower HS cables🤔
Have you set the HDMI ports to support deep colour?
