There is a technical fault with this programme. Please try again later.

So - I subscribed recently and got all my stuff set up fine. I pretty much subscribed for the F1 (already had the free channels via FreeSat, but may also want to watch other sport in the months to come). 

Son sit down to the start of the last F1 race of the season and get this message.

 

how incredibly infuriating ... I ma paying power money to watch sky sports, and sky are somehow unable to provide a streaming service.  

 

for what it's worth I went in to the pick settings and disconnected from the working perfectly WiFi network (I only have one ssid, which is Speedtest'inf over 500 at the moment) and reconnected. Puck said the connection was fine before and is fine after. 

For completeness also rebooted the wall

box and router. Just in case. 

same result. tried channel 402 for football. Same message. 

Is this a block Sky put on some broadband providers, geographic areas, or some other thing they do. 

I can't believe no one is watching Sky Sports in the UK right now. 

anyone know? 

I can see similar historical posts - but nothing that I've found gives me something to change / set that I can see in menu's.

This isn't a general streaming fault, but rather an issue local to you. Sky's advice is to restart your Puck, as described here: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/there-is-a-technical-fault-with-this-programme-sky-glass-osm

 

I see the same fault occasionally but a restart has always fixed it. As that's not working, in your case, I'd give Sky a call - or we can ask Sky's messaging team to contact you here so that you can report it via a private online chat, if you wish?

Ah, hey thanks. That's great. I'll message Sky tomorrow probably. Went somewhere else to watch the TV. 

 

That's interesting - if that error means the kick needs restarted, I wonder if there's a way to have that as the error message. 

'Theres an issue with your puck - please switch it off, wait a minute, and restart it - if this doesn't resolve the issue contact Sky at ...'xyz''


That would be a great message. I'll suggest it via chat
