The Problem with Sky Stream is its reused Puck
You end up sending them back and then Sky repackage them in new packaging to make them look new, when they are not, same problem with Sky Q, but if they didn't do it, they would end up in landfill or on eBay, they should mark them as used, beecause you do not know how long someone else has used it for and it would take Sky ages to cheack every puck that comes in so why some do not work as intended.
No one is perfect, not even Sky... 🙂
I have Sky Steam and never had a problem with it, only bit I do not like is the standby after 3 hours and have to move the remote and it going on standby when you pause live TV for 10 minutes(make something to eat and come back and its off so have to keep it playing to keep it on so then have to rewind it), when it really shouln't becuase it makes no sence.
I am not a Sky Engineer but at one time wanted to be one or a BT Engineer... 🙂
I like working things out like its a puzzle... 🙂
I was a PC Engineer and fix peoples PCs by going to there house, Windows XP was known to slow down PCs over time and clog up the PCs RAM and its start-up and had to reinstall it for the customer, the only way you could fix WinXP.

All returned hardware which is likely to be going out again gets a standard multi-stage check at the bit of Unipart Logistics which has the Sky refurbishment contract.

It's worth noting that Sky replace the case and any internal components that don't pass the testing. saying that years ago I had a replacement Sky+ box and it still had the previous customers recordings on it! so clearly they used to not do extensive testing.
