TV screen goes blank

I recently had sky stream installed. Intermittently the picture on my tv goes blank and then comes back after a few seconds. It seems as if the connection is broken for a few seconds. Please help

Re: TV screen goes blank

@Chris572 Sounds like an internet issue to me. Are you connected using WiFi or Ethernet?

Ethernet is generally a more reliable and stable way to connect as WiFi is prone to interference. If connected via Ethernet make sure WiFi is turned off in the Settings.

Hi @Chris572

@maybe worth trying a different hdmi socket on your tv or a different hdmi  cable

also worth trying a different picture setting. It's probably set on auto - , depending on your tv you may want to try uhd or 1080

It's with an Hdmi lead straight into the router.

HDMI cables don't go into your router, do you mean ethernet? HDMI connects the puck to your TV. Ethernet connects the puck to your router. If you do use ethernet remember to turn WiFi off on the puck's network settings menu.

Re: TV screen goes blank

@Chris572 Can you plug it into one of the other HDMI ports on the Glass?

Re: TV screen goes blank

@BenJoBanjo You can plug HDMI cables into the router with the right lead. It can be done to improve gaming speeds.

Not really relevant for a Sky Glass or Sky Stream puck though.
