TV pixelating since we had fibre fitted

Since having fibre fitted we have experienced problems with streaming, the TV will freeze, or simply turn black.  We have two boosters around the house, as we live in an old house with solid walls.  We have tried multiple things, including an engineers visit, but the problem remains.  We have now moved into a different room to our rooter for the winter, as this is the room we keep warm for the winter months.  The TV in this room pixelates all of the time when watching live TV.  When watching catch-up it is fine.  We have checked everything, but can't find a fix.   HELP

Hi, and thank you so much for that advice.  I will keep checking the speed, and take photos, as I think you are correct.  Just need to have the evidence.  Many thanks ☺️.

Do you have Sky+HD (where you've posted?

Sky+HD boxes don't stream.

Yes, we have Sky Stream.  We haven't moved the puck as yet, however the TV should be fine as we connected via WiFi with our previous provider with no issues.  The TV that is attached to the puck is the one that freezes (every time we are using it), when we watch Netflix or a Sky movie.

Your issue has all the hallmarks of a poor wifi connection, either insufficient bandwidth or unstable. If an ethernet connection isn't an option, power line adaptors might be a solution.

@LouLouth

Check what broadband speed is actually reaching your puck. To do this, open the Netflix app on the puck, navigate to the get help menu and run a network check. You need an absolute minimum of 25Mbps for HD and 30Mbps for UHD, but ideally it needs to be a lot higher to maintain some stability.
