TV Mutes almost daily

Happening more now where the TV Suddenley mutes for a few seconds and an on screen announcement asks for request programme  or repeat request all this without pressing the microphone button on the remote control.

Hi @chepstow99 

 

Sky glass has a far field microphone that is listening for you to say "hello Sky" and then a voice command. This can be disabled as outlined here: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/voice-control-sky-glass or by pressing the mute button on the side of your glass.

 

Turning this off will still allow the microphone in the remote to work by pressing the button on the remote.

Thanks Mike, I dont have Sky Glass its the puck version (Stream), the same principal applies Im guessing apart from pressing the button on the TV. I have a samsung QLED 65"

@chepstow99  Are you sure it's a stream puck message?  and not your Samsung TV?

 

For stream to respond to voice commands you need to press the voice button on the stream remote.

 

 

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.
