Streaming issues
While watching programmes with Sky Puck, there is constant freezing, buffering and screen going blank with ''Please wait for your programme to load'' in the middle of watching a programme. The wifi signal is not an issue as other devices are connected and working well. The issue is only with streaming through Puck and it is really frustrating!

Re: Streaming issues
@Abhi77 The wifi signal is not an issue as other devices are connected and working well.
Unfortunately that doesn't mean that the WiFi isn't the issue. The sky stream is different to normal devices as it requires a constant connection to skys servers to work and the minimum recommended speed of 30 Mbps is essentially required at all times. When the device goes less that than it tends to crash and will not recover without a reboot. It's common for a lot of basic routers provided by ISPs for the signal strength to vary at times which can then be an issue for the stream puck.
in this situation the test to perform is to disable WiFi on the stream puck, connect via Ethernet cable, reboot the puck by unplugging it for 30 seconds and then see if the issue has improved. If it has you know the issue is related to the strength and stability of your WiFi network.

Re: Streaming issues
Thanks a lot, Mark. I'll give it a go with an Ethernet cable

Re: Streaming issues
I have been having problems with my sky stream for a long time now. No matter what I'm watching it works ok then every 10 minutes or so the screen goes black for about 2 seconds then comes back. Then the sound goes out of sync with the picture. I have reported it a few times and was told to rest and even adjust my screen settings. But still not working without stopping. I'm fed up with it.

Have you asked Sky if they can send a replacement pick to either confirm or rule out that the puck is faulty?

Re: Streaming issues
I didn't think of that. It's too late now. My subscription ends at the end of the month and I don't want to start a new contract.
