After having Sky Streaming for 5 months and hating it with a passion. I finally got permission to have a sat dish on my new house.
Called Sky today to arrange install and was told they cannot even look up the engineer dates without cancelling Streaming first and I would be without TV from today iuntil dishb was installed - potentially up to 3 weeks.
This seems to be utterly ridiculous with no justifcation what-so-ever.
Is this true or did I just speak to the wrong person ?

Its nots possible to even process a Stream or Q order if you have the other system, without it being cancelled. It wouldn't surprise me if the only way to access potential delivery dates is by putting an order through the system, which obviously cant be done if you have an active subscription.

Unfortunately this is true and I have queried the case why this is. Both Sky products so why it can't be more flexible I am not sure. Apparently it's cause it's two different accounts!
I do though think that stream is great but just needs to be updated with better software / hardware I suspect

Given the time of year, that's quite possibly an underestimate.

Many FTA channels are available via the broadcaster apps and Sky's subscription channels can be accessed temporarily via the NOWTV app on most Smart TVs or streaming devices😉

Ditch Stream get an Apple TV sign up to Now UHD and download TV Launcher job done.
You'll be up and running in under an hour and never need to call Sky again as Now is completely controlled within the app 😉
Even Talking Pictures TV Encore is on Apple now alongside all other niche like Blaze, Together, Great TV, Pluto, Tubi, Plex, Rakuten and all major apps.
Now app uses the Apple integration and has moved forward massively this past 12 months. AD free UHD Cinema and entertainment multi device I pay £12 a month currently on a 6 month term.
