Stream remote doesn't turn off Onkyo amp, Q does...

I just thought I would post this to see if anyone else has had similar (I've found a solution but it is lateral)

I ordered. Sky Stream over the weekend and plugged it in last night. Puke to Onkyo cinema amp to Toshiba TV. Used the same HDMI cable I had used for my Q and sadly retired my optical cable. Set it all up and after a bit of faffing got the remote to turn off the TV. Problem was it didn't turn off the amp. Double checked by using the Sky Q remote and it turned the TV off and then the amp. Tried every setup option (Stream doesn't know my exact TV) and it flatly refused to turn off my amp.

Now the lateral but which was forced by the amp remote dying several years ago which wasn't a problem as SkyHD and SkyQ both turned my amp off for me. My TV is a FireTV so I added turning off my TV to my Alexa nightly "it's bedtime" routine which **bleep**s all the lights off. Bob's your auntie the TV turns off and so does the amp 🙄

Hi @Forestwalker

Thanks for sharing the workaround for your setup.

It's worth checking if HDMI Control is turned on in your Sky settings. Thats in Settings > Start up and standby.

Bit of a long shot, and I don't think it will make a difference, but if it's off turning it on might make it turn off your amp too.

Yeah. Done that, not the resolve. It's a weird one.

Anyone know how often software updates (with more TVs) come out?
