Stream no longer working with EE mobile broadband
Been using Stream for the past 18 months connected to EE mobile broadband. It's been trouble free until recent weeks where now it is almost impossible to watch live TV or any Sky catch-up content with the technical fault message appearing. Other apps on Stream all work ok and Netflix is showing a speed of 40-60mbps. Have tried switching off the puck for 2 mins which sometimes resolves the issue but only for a very short time. Any ideas what might be causing the problem?

Latency is your enemy with mobile broadband.

Re: Stream no longer working with EE mobile broadband
Thanks. Typically get a ping of 25-30ms. Too much latency for Stream?

Re: Stream no longer working with EE mobile broadband
It's higher end, but should be ok. The isssue is that both speed and latency are far less stable on mobile broadband

Re: Stream no longer working with EE mobile broadband
Hi
the only thing you can try is moving your router around to see if it picks up a better / stronger 4g signal
make sure that there's nothing around it to interfere with the signal suck as electrical items

Re: Stream no longer working with EE mobile broadband
@Jporch316 The likely hood of moving a mobile router around and it making a huge difference is limited. The problem
with mobile broadband is that if the local cell is being used by too many it will affect speed and latency, cells are also fairly frequently broken or not working as they should. I would never recommend anyone use either mobile broadband or starlink with Sky stream, if you do, you are going to have issues.

All true ..... but the OP does state it's been working fine for 18 months. There's a potential for a local recent issue such as a new electrical appliance or new device in property such as a games console etc affecting the local environment

Re: Stream no longer working with EE mobile broadband
Thanks all. No changes within the home which suggests this is network related. Didn't work on Saturday night but did on Sunday night. No significant difference in speeds or latency. Very frustrating! Sadly fibre speeds are very poor where we live so will need to rethink Stream.
