Stream and watching live tv

I am losing the will with sky stream, trying to watch live tv is a mare. Either pixelating or black screen on the tv or freezing.
These Puks are a mare we have had nothing but issues since we went back to sky after being with virgin for years. When this contract is up will go back to a box.

Sky needs to sort these Puks out, so many people post issues with the Puks we can't all be wrong.
We have to constantly unplug the puk had a replacement Puks and still the issue continues.

Broadband Speed is fine and yes we reboot the router, gone through all the settings and  still trying to watch live TV is hideous .

@Shelley661  The pucks are fine, such issues are normally the result of poor wifi or slow broadband.

On the puck up the netflix app, go to Get Help, run connection test, what speed is being reported?

Have you run the network check on the Netflix app on the puck to check the actual speed it's receiving?

Re: Stream and watching live tv

There is nothing wrong with the broadband, there is only me and partner at home, so it's not getting axed out .

The broadband has always been fine when had a sky box, but since we have had these pucks it's been a mare.

how can so many people have pucks have so many issues. Yet the response is always it's not the pucks it's the broadband.

just doesn't add up

Hi @Shelley661

I don't have any issues with 4 pucks and 2 glass TVs. The system is reliant on stable connect between the puck and router as well as router and the internet. There are issues which are being worked on to be resolved by Sky. However we only see those with issues here on the forum and not the unknown many who are like me not suffering from issues.

However for the community to assist we need more information, who is your ISP? (Assuming sky), what broadband speed do you get? Have you ran netflix speed test on your pucks (recommend you do this and take an average) etc etc. could you try ethernet or homeplugs?

If you are still suffering, the best course of action would be to make a complaint to sky (we are fellow subscribers here on the community). Re going back to a "box" Sky Q is still an active product but it will be wound down in the near future as the astra satellites hit end of life around 2030.

@Shelley661  What speed do you get to the pucks as requested?  It's not your line speed but what is getting to the puck that matters.

It's a support forum.  People rarely come to such places to say everything is just fine...
