Strange Pricing When Transferring From Q

Currently 1 month in to a Sky Q recontract however when speaking to Sky re a technical issue, they approached Stream so I entertained the offer but the pricing seems a little strange -

Sky are willing to let me move from Q with 17 months left to a rolling 1 month Stream contract at £122.

However they are not willing to match my current Q pricing of £101 per month for a 18 month contract.

This seems a little backwards given I could walk away in 30 days as opposed to paying over £1800

@Ben1980  I might be wrong but I think they weren't supposed to offer you that deal, if you swap over whilst in contract you have to take the 18 month option

@GD1  can you correct me or confirm my suspicion?

Re: Strange Pricing When Transferring From Q

That requirement was removed a while back as was offered it on more than one occasion before the recontract.

But the Stream pricing wasnt £20 more per month then.

@Ben1980  I've asked about the validity of this in the closed fourm because as things stand we haven't been told anything has changed

Re: Strange Pricing When Transferring From Q

like I have repeatedly said on this forum for many months. Sky are not holding any customers to any contract on Sky stream. So if a customer is allowed to move from Sky Q to Sky Stream on even an 18 month contract - they can than leave Sky stream within the contact period - penalty free. I have been told by Sky this is decision that has been made at the highest level because of a legal issue. It's about time the Sky staff on here confirmed that this is the case for clarity. The only difference at the moment between a Sky stream one month contract and 18 month contract is the price. Sky can of course change this going forward and any customer who signs an 18 month contract to be held to this, but because of this legal issue. - They are currently not and haven't been for the past 10 months. Facts !
