I know there's other threads, but seriously. This is a long term issue, are Sky never going to fix it? (Stream puck user here)
Particularly bad is Sky Arts - the adverts causing codec changes, then back to the music and another codec change. Doesn't take more than a couple of advert breaks before we are approaching a 1 second sync difference.
It basically does not work. I can get it to regain sync by swapping channels and swapping back, but that's not much of a solution. Has anyone worked out how to fix this or are we stuck with it?

Sadly I think we're stuck with it. Sound sync is somewhat random with Sky Stream. Has been since launch. Poor.

Strange, I've never encountered that issue with Sky's budget service NOW TV!
Must be side effect of the Premium service's client server architecture🤔

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Jemster68 not every audio set up seems to be affected ao can you post details of your set up as Sky have specialists who monitor these type of issues around HDMI connections.
My own set up of a puck feeding a LG TV linked by ARC to a Denon AVR sometimes gets slight lip sync issues but never to the degree you report. What I do get is a brief drop of audio on entering and leaving ad breaks as the amp switches codec. It is worth experimenting with the audio options in the puck's settings menu.

My system is not hugely dissimilar. I get the audio drops on switching to adverts as well. I reckon it's probably an accumulation of these codec switches that makes it steadily worse. Sky Arts is just really bad for adverts every couple of songs whenever a live concert is on. Was watching Floyd last night and it was particularly bad.
I have my Sky puck feeding an LG TV as well, but I use the optical out of the TV to route to a Pioneer AV amp.
