Sky technical fault with IPlayer
IPlayer frequently displays "There is a technical Fault" particularly when attempting to watch the news from the start. Why??

On what device is this happening on, is it Sky Q, Glass or Stream ?

Is this message appearing after BBC iPlayer has loaded and does it show a four number error code?
Would suggest first trying a restart of your Sky Stream box
Go to Settings>Systems Management>Resets & Updates
Select Restart device
Your Sky Stream puck will perform a reboot. It will take a few minutes to complete
If that does not resolve it, refresh your apps;
- Press Home on your Sky remote, then select Settings
- Press System management then Resets and updates and finally Refresh apps.
- You'll see a message that says, 'Your apps are being refreshed'.
- Press Dismiss to return to normal viewing.
The apps refresh can sometimes take up to 24 hours to complete.

Hi, the fault happens after selected live program has entered IPlayer to start from beginning. Occasionally refuses to play program from start, particularly if close to end of live program. Last night whilst watching episode on 5, program kept freezing repeatedly. Forced to switch off and unplug Puck for several mins then restart everything. No code with Sky technical message other than please try later. This happens frequently. Broadband speed test using mobile near TV suggests varying speeds between 45 and 55. Trying your suggestion, nothing to indicate reboot happening?

Run a speed test in the Netflix settings to see what speed you are getting to the puck @Keith482
