Sky stream

Hi my mother in law has just got fibre in and 2 x stream boxes 1 up 1 downstairs.

The downstairs keeps having issues freezing and pixels on the tv. Is it wirth ethernet cabling it down stairs? She cant watch a full programme. P.s upstairs has no issues.

Also best cable to use?

What does the Netflix speed test show on her downstairs stream puck? Run a network check from the get help menu on the Netflix app and it'll tell you the speed it's receiving.

Connecting with an ethernet cable from the router should help though - they're very cheap, just make sure they are rated as category 5e. Turn wifi off on the puck network settings and reboot it after you've connected the cable. They can be fickle little boxes that don't work logically most of the time.

Yes, the upstairs puck will be fine on wifi if it's currently working that way. Just turn WiFi off on the downstairs puck.
