Sky stream viewing card number

Hi,

I have an MUTV subscription with Sky.

I want to access it on the MUTV app, and there's a process to link my sky subscription.

However it asks for my Sky ID Number, and says that it's my viewing card number. However I obviously don't have one of those.

I have tried my account number but this is 12 numbers long and the MUTV app requires a 9 digit number.

So any ideas how I can get a card number?

Hi @hotnuts21

There is no viewing card number. The only way to access it on Steam is to subscribe directly through Sky.

The activation I believe is the other way around for satellite customers. I.e. you can purchase via Manchester United and activate your viewing card to watch on TV. This isn't possible with the streaming platform.

Re: Sky stream viewing card number

It's definitely this way around

https://www.manutd.com/en/mutv/sky-activation

But it's obviously a legacy issue that MUTV haven't updated their end to take an account ID or sky need to create a virtual viewing card ID.

I'll flag it up with MUTV and report back.

@hotnuts21  Sky won't create a virtual viewing card for MUTV.

Sky Glass/Stream uses your Sky account to link any TVs & Pucks.

For this platform you need to subscribe through Sky.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Re: Sky stream viewing card number

I have done the same.  Did you work out if you can log into MUTV (on app) using sky subscription?

It still asks for SKY ID (which is a viewing card number that I don't possess).

Viewing Card number and SkyID are not the same thing. You should be able to see your SkyID here: https://www.sky.com/mydetails

Whether or not that will let you log in via the app I don't know.

Re: Sky stream viewing card number

Whilst the website requests the "sky id", it is the viewing card number that's required. As I  using the streaming service, I don't have one.
