Hello,
Why is the sky stream puck so woeful with live TV. Tried to watch a BBC program tonight and it stuttered so badly I had to watch it iPlayer.
I've been able to watch live TV (4k) with my Roku stick wirelessly, but my ethernet enabled puck is not fit for purpose.
Wireless switched off.
Thanks.

Have you reported the issue to Sky ... you maybe being connected to an overloaded Sky server🤔
Have you checked the connection speed for your Puck ... using the Netflix network check on your Puck?

Yes I did run a speed test, it came out at 149 mpbs. I have full fibre.

Are you connected via Ethernet cable what is your router sync speed to the internet?
What did Sky suggest?

Yes as i said on the opening comments i am using the sky supplied Ethernet. Not called sky yet as i do not have that much time on my hands to wait.
I am on my second puck since April the first had corrupted files.

Make sure WiFi is turned off in the puck settings - it can (annoyingly) default to this, even with the ethernet cable attached.

thanks- it is. I'll restart the hub after work tonight and see if that makes a difference.

Shouldn't an Ethernet connected Puxk be limited to 100 Mbps max?

Correct.
Yup which makes the prevoius post around the speed test showing as higher than !00 mpbs slightly confusing.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@CinderKona You would not get more the 100mbps over the pucks ethernet, are you sure they puck isn't still coinnecting to wifi, have you ensured inthe settings menu network options that the wifi is set to off?

I was getting glitchy playback on live channels on WiFi but switched to ethernet and turned WiFi off on the puck network settings and not had any problems since.
I've got 500Mb/s full fibre broadband and even though on ethernet it's capped at about 95Mb/s, it's more than enough for the puck to maintain stability.

My bad, now measured on the puck it's 78.8
