Our sky stream live channels have a delay of around 40 seconds, how do we fix this?

Re: Sky stream live delay
@Amelia02 You can't, there will inevitably be a delay with a streaming service compared to satellite or freeview.

Re: Sky stream live delay
Thanks for your reply. Our family and friends have got sky stream and do not experience this problem - is there anything we can do to speed it up slightly

Re: Sky stream live delay
@Amelia02 If you have the Sky Sports package and can get UHD, then Channel 401, 906 & 922 offer Live Sync which if selected reduces the delay significantly.

Re: Sky stream live delay
You are within the expected range for of 22-45 latency for Sky Glass and Stream.
The only lower latency available is when using the low latency option on the Sky Sports Main event hd/uhd channels that offers around 10 secs.
Terrestrial TV via an aerial is generally 2 secs, Sky Q via satellite about 5 seconds and Now TV is around 60+ seconds.
A number of factors will determine where you are within the range, your ISP, some local network bandwidth and ISP and Sky routing paths.
It is not really possible to fix to a lower level so as above you should be fine to know you are in the expected range.
