Sky stream keeps loosing picture

I am a new customer and had my sky stream puck for about a month now. Since the start we can have a run of days without issue then get a day where it plays up all day.  First the picture starts to break up, comes back, breaks up again then freezes before the screen goes black.  We turn the puck off reboot the router and go again, 5 minutes later it starts again.  There are no wireless devices next to the puck and we reboot everything each time but it makes no difference.

What speed is your incoming interent speed from your ISP and what result does the Netflix app connection check return.

Most issues are caused by the lack of a sufficiently FAST and STABLE signal to the puck.

Connecting by ethernet usually works much better than WiFi.

Notice you are aware of wifi interference with your wifi devices comment.

Having a good local network is a key factor for having a reliable experience with Sky Stream.

Best way to test is via a network speed test on each of your Pucks.
Launch Netflix on your pucks (you do not need to be logged into it, if you do not use netflix) and scroll down the left menu to Get help.
Choose Check Network.
Would suggest running the test several times, over say a half hour period during tests.
What is your speed for each puck?

Also, even though you mention it in your post, it may be suffering from interference, the puck much like a Sky Q box can for some customers suffer from this at times. More often seen as an intermittent blip.
Not always a cure, but the following may help to resolve;
Make sure you have a good 6-8 inches free on all sides of the puck.
Do not stack the puck on top of any other device.
If you can, have the puck in the open, not tucked away in a cabinet or sat directly behind the TV.
Make sure you have no other devices that can cause interference closeby, like cordless phones, radiators, baby monitors, smart meter in home displays, microwaves and the like.

If in the future you do try connecting via an ethernet cable, rather than wifi, turn wifi OFF under Network.

Re: Sky stream keeps loosing picture

Yep, I get the same. Screen eventually goes light grey but the sound continues.

I left it like this to see what would happen & it just stays like this for the rest of the programe.

Puck hard-wired to router. Router next to ONT and all next to each other.

Sky 100mb fibre broadband (fibre recently installed in the area so all new, including fibre to my house.

Nothing else in the house is using the broadband.

I don't work for sky, receive any gratuities or discounts. They do however pay me in badges 🐵
