Sky stream issues

Do I really have to unplug and reboot my router and sky puck every day to keep this service working?

It does seem somewhat random whether a customer can get Sky Stream to function easily and reliably. It's not quite the 'plug and play' experience for everyone...

The service can require a great deal more troubleshooting from the customer in order to get it working. This normally entails a lot of broadband network shenanigans in order to get as fast and stable a connection to the puck as possible.

Some customers get lucky and it just works... others don't. Some get sent problematic pucks... some get perfectly functional pucks... some get connected to a fast server.... some get connected to a congested, slow one.

Sky Stream can still be a bit hit and miss for some customers. You have to be willing to go the extra mile to get it working if you find it doesn't do as advertised from the get go.

Alternatively, it can be a lot easier to get Sky content from the NOW TV app instead. I certainly have found this. It's been vastly more reliable on my own hardware in the months I've been using it. I wouldn't go back to the Stream puck in its current form.
